Story Time

Surface-level ideas make me uncomfortable. It is in my nature to challenge myself and others to dig deeper. The people I have met and my experiences during my academic and personal journey have taught me that life should be worth living fearlessly and not just about scratching the surface. As an Academic All-American, Iowa College Media Association multiple award winner, Delta Epsilon Sigma Honors Society member, multiple time DIII National Track and Field Champion, and producer of two documentaries, I have found that success lies just beneath the surface. I’ve challenged myself to go beyond the surface content to find unique stories – from investigating student safety concerns on my college campus to addressing the lack of support for minority business owners in the city of Dubuque.
